Right out of the box, I could tell every part was well made. Just the weight and feel of each part shows they actually give a damn. This is evident with even little stuff, like including thick, dense paper washer for the fan-blade mounts.Not to mention the motor is almost completely silent, even at top speed.Assembly is a bit more complex than other ceiling fans, but it leads to a cleaner looking, more solid product.Two things of note:First, the ball on the stem that allows for swivel is textured like wrought iron. It means it's fairly stiff. Probably intentional to dampen any minor wobble, but you probably want to make sure it's half-way level because I doubt it'd straighten itself out.Second, the fan blades are some kind of composite wood material that isn't super dense. That makes them very light, so probably an engineering decision, but be careful when tightening the blade mounts. I tend to tighten the hell out of bolts, and I did end up making VERY subtle dents at the screw holes. Nothing visible, damaging, or anything that effects the angle of the blades.Airflow seems pretty strong. Could be stronger, but that'd likely come down to larger blades or a noiser motor. Still as good as your better-than average fans.Overall, the value you get out of something like this is incredible. It definitely feels like a high-end fan.
