Okay, perhaps the title overstates the case a little, but nonetheless this is a surprisingly compelling read. If you like golf at all, and like good writing, this book is for you. Donegan is witty, quick-tongued, and pulls the story along nicely, as one might expect from a pop star (think Lloyd Cole and the Commotions) turned journalist. Caddying for Ross Drummond on the European Tour for a year seems very college-pranky, but after you get over the snark factor and get into the tale you will find (as I did) that the book is hard to put down.
