Mostly assembled- a few screws to put seat on top- very easy- well packed so it arrived in perfect shape. VERY sturdy- we have several 250 lb plus people in the family and it is very capable of holding them comfortably. Beautiful craftsmanship and solidly built. I live my two stools!These bar stools were better than I even expected! I had to contact the seller directly about one of the stools and a small issue. They responded promptly and were very accommodating to my request to resolve the issue. Their customer service was exactly as customer service should be. If you want a beautiful and solid barstool, don't hesitate to purchase these!I purchased two of these for our counter bar in the kitchen. They look great, and are the most sturdy stools we have owned. I am a big guy, so I have to say they are uncomfortable for me to sit on for any length of time (seat not large enough). My small wife loves them.We have been enjoying these stools for a while now. They are very comfortable and very easy to take care of.The quality of these counter stools blew us away. The seats are solid oak, which has been nicely contoured and finished. The medium oak color is very useful. The bearings and construction of the swivel plate is first rate and heavy duty. The seat back is nice and high. And, the frame construction is welded heavy guage steel. Awesome. And, by the way, they're very comfortable to sit in too.
