I decided my tired terry-cloth robe had seen better days and it was time to upgrade to a better model. Some are too weighty (turns soggy, heavy and hot when even slightly wet) and some too light (not absorbent or cozy enough). I found some robes used a layer of two different fabrics which tend to shift around and still not be lightweight AND absorbent but rather bulky and not washer friendly.I was lucky enough to find the Hotelier Turndown brand had the perfect blend of both.Exterior fabric is a waffle weave to keep it spa-like, lightweight and structured while theinside of that same fabric is a soft terry which gives maximum absorbency without theweight. Especially noticeable in the cowl neck - it's soft when you put it on, and almost feels like you are wearing a lightweight blanket. The product is advertised truthfully - as it provides the perfect apres-shower robe to help get you dry but then spends the day with you lounging comfortably in style.The Medium was well proportioned to fall at my calf (I’m 5’4”) or my daughter who is 5’11”where it falls below her knee and the sleeve length was done well also. Plenty of robe to wraparound comfortably and stay closed with the extra long waffle weave belt. I’m not a big fan of hotel slippers since they seem to be more trouble than they’re worth with flimsy bottoms and fabric that tears away. So it was a big bonus to see the quality of thicker soles and sturdy fabric that could be worn lounging during the day or to the dressing room after a shower. Again, the gold insignia on the slippers matches the gold piping on the robes collar, sleeves and pockets for a true spa-vibe.Overall the Robe and Slippers would make a perfect gift. In this case, ME!
