Helps keep my cast iron pan nice and cleanI have tried many things, but trying to get my cast iron seasoned properly meant that I needed to get through the layer that came on it. This has helped me gradually get my cast iron perfect, as well as helping me clean it (especially after my son uses it and ends up burning something)Cleans skillets and cast iron perfectly. The silicone flexes and saves your hands a bit from just plain chain mail sheets and still gets into the tight corners. I got one for the house, one for the camper and one for the truck. Also if you feel inclined, it does turn a blade pretty neatly so keep one in your left breast pocket. I also feel like if you fastened some onto a pair of gloves or on the end of a bo staff it would give it just a little extra spicyness. Do not recommend using for seating material or knee pads, irreversible damage to butt and knees occurs. Mostly cosmetic but still painful. Do not use on glass or Teflon. Or to clean children's faces. Otherwise works a treat!It really does the job. I hang it to dry every time I use it. It doesn’t rust or corrode. Very happy with this product.Great value for the costThe product hold up well and clean up well.The scrubbing action is just OK. I think using the common copper pot scrubber works little better. Gets into the bits of food crust better. Good thing is this product will last for years and don't require replacement.After using the cast iron pan for baking, we just heated up the pan, scrubbed with this thing dry, no water or anything, and the pan is like new. I love this thing!I bought this because I’d heard these chain Mail things were good to get stuck bits off my cast iron. Pretty much just a waste of money. It got some stuff off, sure, but a lot of work for not much result. I ended up just using kosher salt, oil, and a cloth to clean it(which is what I’d been doing previously) which works much better and faster. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the item I got, I just think it’s far easier to just use salt and oil.
