Bright white and deep black embroidery, and very competent adhesive. I did have to use the longer heat-application time suggested by the instructions, but I suspect that's because I was putting it on a fairly heavy denim jacket sleeve and could only iron from one surface (not alternating top and bottom, as the instructions recommended where possible).
