This test kit is listed as testing both ferric and ferrous iron but I think it's only testing ferrous iron (where water is clear). I say this because my water is quite brown and cloudy, but this test kit shows it as containing 0 iron? I put in a complex 3 stage filter (20" by 4" each filter) and it worked for a week before the water was brown again. I wanted this test to determine what to try next, but it says I have 0 iron? I certainly don't profess to be a chemistry expert, but I've learned a lot the hard way and I'm having trouble seeing the benefit in preforming this test.To make things more interesting this seller sent the kit in a padded envelope that allowed the plastic test vile to get crushed in shipment. I had to call the manufacturer to find out how many ml of water was required (FYI, it's 10)
